Peek Box Experiment

Today the year 5's did an experiment in science. The aim of the experiment was to find a way to see an object inside a dark box. They cut a hole as big as their eye and placed a small object inside the box. Some children cut a bigger hole as well and put the torch through the hole. This allowedd them to see the object in the dark box with their eye on the hole. After wards the children made a ray diagram which shows how they could see the object inside the box. They put arrows to show where the light would hit in the box. We found out that artificial light is not as strong as the sun. The year 5's had a great time time doing this experiment!

Learning Detectives

Asher, Dean Teagan and Gabi were doing some detective work today and finding good learners in year 5. They were watching and recording names of students who were listening well to the teacher, asking intelligent questions, agreeing and disagreeing and also contributing well to the discussion. Well done to all the students who made it into the good learners book (you know who you are!!!)
